Razor electric dirt bikes are lightweight, off road motorcycles with durable and rugged frames that are built for speed and agility. With engine sizes less than 500cc, Razor electric dirt bikes are typically powered by either a 2 stroke, or a 4 stroke engine.
Razor dirt bikes are built specially for different kinds of events. You’ll have to choose your kind of Razor electric dirt bike depending on which kind of off-road motorcycle sport you’d like to compete in. Here are just a few of the different kinds of events that determine what kind of beast you should get!
1. Motocross.
These are raced on short, closed off-road tracks that have a number of different obstacles, like jumps, placed on the course. These Razor electric dirt bikes have a small fuel tank designed to be compact, making the vehicle lighter, and an engine that varies in size and form, but is usually a single-cylinder two-stroke or four-stroke unit. These also have a long-travel suspension that allows rides to take the jumps at high speed.
2. Trails.
These bikes are made for both on-road and off-road riding. These can be similar to the Enduro bike, another kind of Razor electric dirt bike. However, trail bikes aren’t designed for competitions, they tend to be less rugged, equipped with dual-purpose tires, and with more road legal equipment, like turn signals, mirrors and additional instruments.
3. Trials.
These bikes are built not for contests of speed, but competitions that test balancing skills and precision. During the trial, the rides must stand on footpegs, which means that the bike will only have a vestigial seat–possibly even no seat at all.The priorities for these bikes are low weight and crisp throttle response power. This means that trials bikes have between a 125 cc to a 300 cc engine, with two-strokes not being uncommon, and a compact fuel tank with a limited range.
Depending on what kind of sport you want to partake in, one of these Razor electric dirt bikes is for you. If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comments.
Wow, I had no idea that there were so many different kinds of dirt bikes out there! Jeez, I have no idea what kind to get.
